There are various elements that demonstrate how lady gaga conforms and subverts to what is recognised in this music genre. The music video starts with a well organised, high key lighting shot of the whole cast with Lady Gaga in the middle whose golden dress contrasts the actors to bring the attention of the audience towards her. This conforms to the typical conventions as she is addressing to the audience not only by here choice of fashion but also by eye contact with the camera which we only see from her and none of the other dancers.
